IEHP supports Member access to information. The FHIR APIs in our catalog allow applications secure access to specific information in compliance with CMS rule CMS-9115-F.

The Provider Directory & Formulary API provides access to both IEHP's provider pharmacy directory and coverage plan formulary drug directory-related resources through a publicly available standards-based open API.
Access to all IEHP APIs is free of charge.

Open APIs are IEHP APIs which can be accessed and implemented without creating an account with the Developer Portal and submitting a request to use. You may begin using Open APIs by following the information provided by its implementation guide, which can be found on the API’s details page.
Secure APIs are IEHP APIs which require an account with the Developer Portal and a formal request to be able to implement in your application.
Yes, the version of the associated application is tied to its Client ID and Client Secret and can be used for all associated APIs for this application.
