Member Advisory Committees

Member Advisory Committees

At IEHP, we focus on the health care needs of our members. To meet these needs and improve services, we created Member advisory committees. IEHP’s member advisory committees include our members who have an active eligibility status.

The purpose of the Member advisory committees is to promote a dialogue between IEHP and members. These advisory committees empower members to establish a voice and share their opinions. During these meetings members can share their experiences and also discuss communication needs, educational priorities, health care services, and the coordination of care. IEHP keeps members up-to-date on programs or policies that may impact their health care.

Learn more about each advisory committee:

  • Community Advisory Committee (CAC): comprised of IEHP Medi-Cal Members, stakeholders, community advocates, and health care providers.

Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) helps IEHP understand its community’s needs through education, advocacy, collaboration and feedback. The group is made up of IEHP Medi-Cal members, stakeholders, community-based organizations and health care providers.

As a CAC member, you would:

  • Give insight into challenges and barriers that lead to health inequities.
  • Help IEHP understand and identify member care concerns and give input on benefit access.
  • Serve as a liaison between your community and IEHP.

The CAC meets every three months online and in person. Locations change each meeting.

To apply for membership in this workgroup, please call IEHP Member Services at 1-800-440-IEHP (4347), Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. TTY users should call 1-800-718-IEHP (4347).
